    What are the requirements for using Spruz? Do I need to install any software?
    There are no special software to install or maintain in order to use Spruz. The only requirement is to use a supported web browser. Spruz is compatible with modern web browsers, such as Chrome, Firefox, Safari, and Edge. For Spruz to functon properly in your browser, you will need to make sure JavaScript is enabled. To enable JavaScript, follow the steps below for your web browser:

    How do I sign up for an account?

    Signing up is easy! Click here to begin creating your Spruz account and website.

    Please make sure you have entered the correct e-mail address, as this will be used as your user login ID and any important information from Spruz will be sent to this e-mail address.

    How does the free trial work?

    As a first time new customer when you sign up for Spruz, you will be given a free 30-day trial period. You will need to provide a credit or debit card to sign up for the service. Your first payment will be charged at the end of the trial free trial period. You can cancel at anytime before the end of the 30-day period to avoid the recurring monthly subscription charge. Don't worry — we'll remind you a few days before your payment is due.

    IMPORTANT: If the subscription is cancelled while still in your 30-day free trial period, your trial will expire immediately and you will not be able to start another trial.

    Can ex-customers sign-up for a free trial?

    No, the free trial offer is only available to new customers.

    Why do I need a payment method to start a free trial?

    We ask for a payment method to ensure you don't have any interruptions to your website. We do this by sending an authorization request to your financial institution to verify your payment method. You will not be charged if you do not continue with our services.

    What payment methods do you accept?

    We accept all major credit and debit cards such as Visa, MasterCard, Discover and American Express. We also accept PayPal as a payment option. All payments are handled by our payment processor. We do not store your credit card details on our servers.

    How do I cancel my Spruz subscription and request a refund?

    We understand that everyone has unique requirements for their website and the only way to know if Spruz is the right fit for you is by trying it out. We offer a 30-day free trial period so you can explore our platform. If you decide that you are not ready to subscribe to Spruz, you may cancel your plan at anytime by navigating to your Account page and clicking on the Cancel Renewal link. As mentioned in our Terms of Service, we do not offer refunds.

    How do I change my Spruz subscription plan?

    Navigate to your Account page and click on the Change Plan link for your website. You will be redirected to a new page where you can select the options of your new plan. Go through the checkout process as you did the first time you subscribed.

    How much disk space and monthly transfer do I need?

    Determining how much monthly transfer your website will require is dependent on how much traffic you expect to receive. You can calculate your monthly transfer needs by estimating how much space your average page will take up (for example, your website may average 1MB per page). Multiply this number by the estimated visitors you anticipate having in a day (if you have a website that receives 150 visitors per day on a page that takes up 1MB, then you would have 150MB daily transfer). Finally, multiply the daily transfer by 30 to get the total monthly transfer (150 MB times 30 is 4500MB or 4.5GB).

    For disk space, you will need to determine how much content you and your members will upload to your website. If your site will feature a number of photos and videos, then you will require a lot more space than a website that mostly displays plain text.

    Can I use my own custom domain for my site?

    Yes, you can use your own branded custom domain name to make your site unique and easy to find. By default, all Spruz sites include a domain URL that ends with spruz.net. To remove the spruz.net domain, you can configure your custom domain's DNS records on your domain registrar's website. if you do not have a custom domain name and would like to register a domain with Spruz, please contact our Support Team to find out how you can purchase a custom .com or .net domain name.

    I have an existing Spruz website (domain URL ending with spruz.com). Can I migrate my site to the latest version of the Spruz platform (Version 2.0)?

    What are your data privacy practices?

    We've implemented security measures to protect the personal information that you share with us. We regularly monitor our systems for possible vulnerabilities and attacks, and seek new ways for further enhancing the security of our products and infrastructure. Additionally, we will never sell your data to advertisers or any third-party entities. You can view our Privacy Policy for more information of how we collect, use, protect, or otherwise handle your Personally Identifiable Information (PII).

    How does Spruz secure my website for my members?

    Spruz is committed to protecting your data and your members' data. All new sites created on Spruz will be secured with Secure Sockets Layer (SSL) certificate automatically at no additional cost. An SSL certificate enables your site to use Hyper Text Transfer Protocol Secure (HTTPS), which secures the connection between your browser and your website. Data that is transferred using HTTPS will be encrypted, and therefore more secure.

    How can I monetize my website?

    The following are supported methods that will help you monetize your Spruz website.

    - Leverage the built-in Spruz design tools to fully control the placement of ads on your website. Spruz supports third-party ad networks such as Google AdSense.
    - Add a Spruz Donation button to help raise funds and collect donations for your website.
    - Enable the Online Store feature to instantly create an e-commerce website for your community.
    - Collect registration fees for upcoming events or occassions such as parties, conferences, and other community gatherings.
    - Purchase the Spruz Membership Subscription add-on feature (USD $10.00/month) to sell premium content on your site. Access to the content is provided to registered members who purchase a one-time payment or recurring payments.

    How do I remove the "Powered by Spruz" branding?

    By default, the "Powered by Spruz" text will appear at the bottom of your Spruz site. You can remove this text by purchasing the Remove Branding add-on option (USD $4.95/month).
